 about

I am a African American Artist who is self taught and God inspired. Born in the late 60's in Birmingham, Alabama I grew up in the city of Bessemer, with my seven brothers and one sister. Growing up as a black child in the south I had many restriction and limited opportunities, so I learned at a early age to use my imagination to create the type of world that I wanted to live in. Inspired by my two eldest brothers I began to draw stick figures and afro men. All throughout my education history I would draw in each of my classes, but when I reached high school I began to write poetry and short stories, which I converted to animation. In the year of 2000 I became a fire fighter and joined the U. S. Army Reserves, that landed me in Iraq in 2005, that's when my mind began to expand beyond the south, now I could see the world in it's richness and multi colors, I was no longer confounded to black and white. In the year of 2015 I began to collect art, but while celebrating my birthday in the state of Georgia, I had a divine inspiration from God to pick up the brush, every since that moment I've been birthing new pieces from any and all types of mediums. The world is my canvas and whatever I get my hands on is my utensils.
